Taifun Organic Black Forest Smoked Tofu 200g

Taifun’s Black Forest Tofu is a twist on their other smoky offerings. Gently smoked and seasoned with caraway, onion and herbs, it’s a taste of Germany’s Black Forest. Taifun only use a gentle friction smoke process for their smoked tofus because it is a zero-emissions system, and by using a comparatively low temperature, it ensures the least amount of hazardous substances are generated, meaning you get all the smoky goodness, but fewer nasties associated with foods smoked at higher temperatures.

Its slightly soft but firm texture make it perfect for blending into pâtés, serving over salads, and topping soups. It is perfectly suited to pan frying, or roasting on a grill or barbecue.

It works wonderfully well in German and Eastern European-inspired recipes; why not serve with knöpfle/spätzle dumplings, or try in vegan Flammkuchen, or in a vegan Goulash? Or serve with pasta, sandwiches, and much more… the possibilities are endless!
